Two launches for an anniversary season
Southend United have launched home and away kits for the club’s 120th-anniversary season. The home-kit story was published on 18 June, followed by the away-kit release on 8 July. The club’s official shop also carries the home-shirt listing.
Those releases give the coming campaign a clear visual identity before competitive football begins. The home and away shirts will appear across matchdays, photographs and the everyday life of the fanbase throughout 2026/27.
The image accompanying this article shows a close view of the yellow anniversary away shirt and its embroidered Southend crest. It is one detail from a wider pair of official launches.
A shirt becomes part of the memory
A new kit always produces conversation. Supporters will have their own response to the colours, details and connections with earlier Southend seasons. That range of opinion is part of the ritual.
Anniversary shirts carry an additional layer. For some supporters, one of these designs may become a first Southend shirt. For others, it will sit beside shirts connected to promotions, difficult campaigns, favourite players and familiar days at Roots Hall.
The Talking Shrimpers view is that this is where a kit gains its real meaning. A launch introduces the design, but the season supplies the memories attached to it.
Check the official pages
The club’s home and away launch stories provide the confirmed presentation of both anniversary kits. The official shop is the appropriate destination for current product information.
Availability and purchasing details can change, so they are not repeated here. Supporters interested in either shirt should use the linked official pages for the latest information.
