Sixteen photographs from Southend's 1-0 win over Scunthorpe, captured at Roots Hall by Talking Shrimpers partner photographer Bryan Rocknean.

The written match review has the goal, the chances and the reasons Southend deserved their 1-0 win. Rather than tell the same story twice, I wanted to share the afternoon through Bryan’s lens.

Bryan Rocknean has joined us as a Talking Shrimpers partner photographer, and this first collection shows exactly why I am delighted to have him with us. He caught the quieter parts of the day as well as the football: the goalkeepers warming up, the mascots waiting to walk out, the physical battles and the celebration in front of the Southend support.
